Character Ideation


All character concepts below provided by the amazing Tori Baum.

Tentative mutant designs. They will have recurring themes of plant characteristics and a mix of deformities brought on by inbreeding, natural hazards, and experimenting.

We've got a work in progress model that I brought into unreal into place.  I discovered through trial and error that while we can use A-posed models with mixamo, retargetting T-posed models is going to save us time and difficulty.


The curling happening with the arms is a simple fix, but the engine still had difficulty telling things where to go because of the initial pose which created some stretching in the pectoral area (shown in video below). Previous tests proved this process was simpler when both assets are using a T-pose. In order to optimize our time in the process of doing several animations we a have opted for this method over using Maya.
